Trave is Good, when life is good

  • Nov. 12th, 2008 at 1:30 AM

I'm in Copenhagen, Denmark and will drive to Italy and back.  Will be in Europe until December 3, 2998.  Will try to keep my readers updated.
Life is Good.

I love life in the early morning - especially this time of year.  I stepped out on my porch this morning and heard the geese honking as they flew in formation - one wave after another.  I love the sounds of early morning - it is so clear and still that you can hear things you don't the rest of the day - sound really travel in the still of the morning.  From my porch I could see the snow covered mountains behind the 20 or so deer in the field.  I could hear the cattle mooing, the horses whinny, a cock crowing.  Anybody that thinks life is not good is invited to come here and enjoy the early morning with me hot cup of coffee.

In the early morning I not only can hear God's creation at it's best, but I can think more clearly and thus enjoy it to its fullest.  My cat, Spivey, seems to love the morning too, she gets right in my face at about 5 a.m. to wake me up so she can go out on the porch with me - she's an early cat like me.  Spivey is so anxious for the beauty of the morning that she is like me - gets up way before the sun rises so she doesn't miss it.  Even when I was a little boy I got up early and would be an hour early at the school bus stop.

Some of my fondest memories are when I got up early as our family traveled.  I remember how enraptured I was with an early morning near the Swannee River - the spanish moss hanging from the oak trees and the sound of the river (a sound that was much quieter than our rushing Montana Rivers) - the sound of egrets, cranes, seagulls, frogs, and, gators saying it's a fine morning.

Enjoy your mornings - it is God showing us HE has created another day - LIFE IS GOOD!

LIFE IS GOOD - HOWEVER . . .

  • Nov. 5th, 2008 at 10:52 AM

I HAVE TO KEEP SAYING LIFE IS GOOD - LIFE IS GOOD - LIFE IS GOOD to remind myself it really is, HOWEVER:
1)    I'm tired of elections
2)    I'm sickened by Liberals & Democrats
3)    I'm disappointed that education has failed to teach my fellow citizens anything about dangers of communism, socialism & Islam
4)    People keep repeating the bad things and learn nothing from history

BUT:

I   "IMAGINE" a world with No Liberals; No Democrats; No Communists; No Socialists; No abortions; No Homosexuals (they can't reproduce except by perverting the young); No FALSE religion too (only Christians ruled by Christ The King)!

Remember:  LIFE IS GOOD - BECAUSE GOD CREATED IT.

ELECTION DAY

  • Nov. 4th, 2008 at 12:39 PM

I've been so busy since my last post.  I have been writing a lot on www.willnotdelay.blogger.com and also on my facebook page, especially debating my friend Jessie Ahman's friends about war etc.  I traveled to Missoula to visit my friends and take Mona Redfern out to dinner at Outback Steak House for her birthday and mine, which are both on November 1.  I worked on plans for my trip to Europe and got the tickets to leave for Denmark on November 10th and return December 2nd.  I hope to be able to give you some of my "musings" while in Europe.  I will drive from Denmark to Italy and back, so should have a lot of experiences to share.

I thought I would be leaving November 3rd so I voted absentee for McCain, however, McCain is way to liberal for me, but Sarah Palin as V.P. was what it took to vote for him.  I would not have voted for Obama under any circumstances.  There is no doubt in my mind that Obama will lead us to Communism.  It is a shame McCain had such a poor campaign.  His advisors must have had some kind of brain damage - perhaps they were brain washed in college - or, maybe they actually want Obama to win.

If you go to www.willnotdelay.com go to my blog entitled "Can Preterists be Saved and still be denied Church membership" and then read all the posts (at present 18) and please add your comments.  Also when you are at my post click on Trail Blazers ministry and read my comments regarding "Is Heaven a Place".

LIFE IS A JOB - A GOOD JOB

  • Oct. 24th, 2008 at 8:06 PM

Many years ago Father Guido Sarduchi said:  "You know, life is a job."  He was a comedian.  He made me laugh - a lot.  The more you can laugh at the job of life, the better your life is for you and those around you.  I love to watch comedies, especially with those who will laugh at what I laugh at.  My mother has a good sense of humor and we often laugh together.  My friends Grant & Amy are good to have a laugh with - especially since I think our lives are measured by us in terms of a Seinfeld episode.  My friend Susan and I had a lot of fun laughing, even when we were going through some really hard "trials" of life.  She always laughed when I imitated Father Guido - I even have her on film when we were in Italy laughing as I imitated Father Guido - Susan, if you are reading this "I'm just aaah fifteen a cents short."  I even like to laugh when I'm in a movie theatre watching a movie like "Mars Attacks" and I'm the only one laughing hysterically - that's because I get it - Parumph, Nevada - ha, ha, ha.

Life is a serious job - but, don't take yourself so seriously that you can't find something to laugh about.

Do you laugh a lot?  What makes you laugh?  What movies can you suggest, or parts of a movie?  My brother doesn't laugh as much, or like I do, but I know of one scene in "The Pink Pather" movies that really made him laugh -  that's when Inspector Cleuso (sp) was dressed up as a dentist and he gave the Chief Inspector laughing gas and breathed it himself and proceeded to pull the wrong tooth as they both laughed.  Susan and I were the only two laughing all the time when we watched "The Money Trap" as the house they were working on was falling apart - now she's a real estate sales person.  Susan, my mother and I laughed until we almost wet our pants when Susan found something on my parents floor and as she held it up said "What is this?"

Laugh it up - LIFE IS GOOD!

SNOW - IN A GLOBAL WARMING WORLD

  • Oct. 21st, 2008 at 8:50 AM

It is snowing here in Montana.  This is not the first snow of the year here - we had about 5" of snow a couple weeks ago.  I love snow - everything seems purified in a cloak of white.  I was raised in Florida and really found it boring with the same weather all the time.  I moved to Montana on June 9, 1976 and by 1979 I was racing sled dogs - in fact, my very first race was in Avon, Montana and the temperature was  a brisk -52 F.  and  felt like I was Sgt. Preston in the Yukon (one of my favorite shows as a kid).  I can't wait until the 2nd episode of  "Iditarod: The Toughest Race in the World" plays tonight.  I always wanted to race in the Iditarod, but could not afford it.  I was the founder of the 500 Mile sled dog race in 1982 and I will always cherish the awe and majesty of God's creation as I ran a team of 13 dogs over the mountains here in Montana.

My friend Monda Redfern had her cancer operation yesterday and from early reports it looks like the cancer has not spread.  Please continue to keep her in your prayers.

I wish my niece Kelli and grand niece Kaycee were still living here in Montana as they love it here more then Texas.

Today we have the "Young at Heart" group from our church coming over.  My mother is baking a couple pies for it.

Remember, I have two other blogs.  One is www.preterist..typepad.com and the other is one I contribute to: www.willnottdelay.blogger.com

Remember:  LIFE IS GOOD & YOU HAVE JESUS CHRIST TO THANK FOR IT.

There is no doubt that there are lots of things that happen in our life that are hard to understand and deal with.  Christ has never promised us a life without tribulations, but in HIM life is still good  even in the midst of tribulations.  This morning I'm:
1)    Praying for Mona Refern as she will hve her operation this afternoon.  Mona is one of the most wonderful Christian women I have had the pleasure of knowing.  Mona and her husband Pascal are my best friends.  I also love their 9 children - Samual, Serina, Abby, Anna, Elizabeth, Saul, Alex, Ethan, and Elija.
2.)  My father has alzhiemers and seems to be going down hill fast.  I think of all the great trips we've taken together.
3)   Today is Kaycee's 7th birthday and she cheered me up when I talked to her a little while ago.  She is a real blessing from God, as are the other 5 grand nieces I have.
4)  My mother is going to the doctor this morning.  She has been real dizzy lately and is worn out taking care of my dad.
5)  I'm finding it hard that Churches are always having divisions.  I find it hard to deal with people I have worshipped with for years leaving, the congregation to seek the "perfect" Church.  News bulletin - there is no earthly perfect Church.
6)  I am still very heart-broken over the death of my dog (and Kaycee's dog too)  - Barkley.  I have Lisa's cat Spivey, but there is no better friend than a dog.
7)  I find it hard to deal with my past sins - especially as there are people that will remind you of them.  I know God forgives, because I truly repented, but some people don't.
8)  I like debate, but find it so hard that others don't see things the way I do - especially the importance of Baptism and to understand, or even take the time to study preterism - It wears you out, but at the same time it keeps you studying and learning even more.
9)  I'm very sad at how divided our country is and the direction it seems to be taking.

HOWEVER,

1)  I rejoice that even though Mona is facing a cancer operation she is a Christian that places her life in Christ's loving hands.
2)  I rejoice that Mona has such a large loving family to support her.
3)  I rejoice at how well Andy & Kelly are raising Kaycee and Haylee.
4)  I rejoice that Dad and I did have so many great trips together.
5)  I rejoice at new Christian friends I have made, even though we disagree on many things.
6)  I rejoice that I have been resurrcted with Christ to be Born Again in Baptism.
7)  I rejoice that Christ is the King of HIS Kingdom (the Church) and that though members of local congregations are so often divided over doctrines, person matters, and etc. we are all One in The Body of Christ.
8)  I am greatful that as Paul was a chief among sinners that I as a Principal Offender am forgivne even as Paul was.
9)  I'm greatful for having such wonder parents in Christ.

Yes, LIFE IS GOOD, if we really think about it and pause in this busy life to MUSE.

A CHANGE FOR PEASEARIAN MUSINGS

  • Oct. 18th, 2008 at 7:50 AM

I've neglected posting my musings to this site.  I have been writing most of my Biblical discussions at: www.willnotdelay.blogger.com as a contributer to that blog.  There are four contributors at this time and some great debates through the comments.  I have decided to change the purpose of my PEASEARIAN MUSINGS  to reflect more of my daily life (actually some friends and relatives have requested this).  I will muse more about my life and travels.

To give you an idea of my life I will describe my life events of this morning so far:

1)     I got up at 4:30 a.m.
2)     Read my emails
3)     Went to my facebook page
4)     Read comments to my latest blog on www.willnotdelay.blogger.com
5)    Read the Drudge Report
6)    Caught up on Amy's blog at www.livinginseason.typepad.com
7)    Prayed for my friends and family (My dad has alzheimer's and my friend Mona Redfern will have an operation Monday)
8)    Watched a little Fox and Friends news coverage
9)    Checked what is coming up on C-Span 2 Book TV
10)  Ate a breakfast of oatmeal, toast and coffee
11) Sat on my deck and drank coffee as the sun rose over the Bridger Mountains and was reminded of a BC Cartoon in which he was watching the sunrise over the ocean and then applauded and said "Author, Author"
12) Am writing this blog

Have a great day and remember - LIFE IS GOOD

I find it interesting that many "FAITH ONLY" teachers put conditions on Church membership in their denomination; restrictions on who can participate in communion; and, who will actually go to Heaven.  Some congregations would excommunicate a congregant that does not accept every word of a CREED, or confession of faith.  I was, as a teenager, a member of the Englewood Evangelical Free Church in Englewood, Florida.  To be a member of that congregation I had to sign a paper saying I would not smoke, drink, play cards or dance and other such prohibitions.  I did not have to be baptized, because the Church taught we are "saved by 'FAITH ALONE".  If you can't be a member of a congregation if you violate any of these prohibitions does that still make it salvation by "FAITH ALONE"?  I think not.  A turning point for me was when a man came forward and asked to be baptized and become a member of the congregation.  They did not baptize him and they had the members vote on his membership request.  They refused his membership because he played a piano at the bowling alley restaurant, which served alcaholic beverages.  It as not a bar, but simply offered wine etc. with your meal.  The man never became a member of the congregation and was never baptized.  Shortly after this he was found dead in a pond.  My point is that the man had "faith" in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Messiah, but because he played a piano in an establishment that served wine etc. he was not fit for the Congregational membership.  I left that congregation and began studying the subject of baptism.  My friends, think about it - does your Church really believe you are saved by "FAITH ALONE"?  If there are ANY conditions to salvation and/or membership in the congregation then I contend they are not really believing in "FAITH ALONE".  Comments?

BAPTISM DOES ALSO NOW SAVE YOU

  • May. 22nd, 2008 at 10:29 AM

My two previous musings demonstrates that the Scriptures never say that you are saved by Faith "ONLY"!  There are no Scriptures that say you are saved by anything "ONLY".  Yes, we are saved by Faith, but it is through Grace.  I Peter 3:21 goes so far as to say: ". . . BAPTISM that now SAVES you also . . ."   Salvation by "FAITH ONLY" is not Scriptural - it is a doctrine of men.  Being saved by "BAPTISM ONLY" is not Scriptural either.  In my next musing I will give a list of what "SAVES" us.  More musings coming SOON.

". . . NOT BY FAITH ONLY."

  • May. 19th, 2008 at 10:26 AM

Below are all the Scriptures where the words "Faith" and "only" appear together.  My last post showed all the Scriptures that say you are saved by "FAITH ALONE" or "FAITH ONLY", but this is the only scripture that even have the words connected.

'YOU SEE THEN THAT A MAN IS JUSTIFIED BY WORKS, AND NOT BY FAITH ONLY."  James 2:24

I will discuss the significance of this in my next post - watch for it - SOON!

TOP 10 FAITH ALONE SCRIPTURES

  • May. 17th, 2008 at 8:41 PM

Listed below are all the Scriptures that say you are saved by "Faith Only" or "Faith Alone":
    1)
    2)
    3)
    4)
    5)
    6)
    7)
    8)

That is it - all the Scriptures that say you are saved by "Faith Alone" - hmmm - I wonder
how Christians who teach "Faith Alone" and "Scripture Only" explain this list?
    More COMING SOON.

PRETERISMS TIMELY QUESTION

  • May. 7th, 2008 at 11:27 AM

TIME - DOES IT MEAN ANYTHING IN THE SCRIPTURES?  My previous musing was to make my readers think about what SOON means.  I was quoting from Hebrews 10:37 "For in just a very little while, 'He who is coming will come and will not delay.'"    Throughout the Scriptures we find what is referred to by preterists as "time statements."    I always wondered why Christ and the writers of Scripture would promise that Christ was coming SOON - and yet after about 2,000 years after Christ's last promise so many preachers are proclaiming that NOW is when Christ is coming SOON.  One Bible prophecy magazine proclaimed that Saddam Hussein was the 666 of Revelation - Saddam is now dead.  Denominations have been created in the past based on their leaders proclamation that Christ was returning SOON - like in 1917.  I'll talk about these "false prophets" in future editions of Peasearian Musings.  Today, I want you to think further about what Hebrews 10:37 meant.  While you're thinking about that tell me why Revelation 11 starts right out "The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to show his servants what must soon take place."  Think about  Jesus Christ's last promise a lie - "He who testifies to these things says 'Yes I am comings soon.'"  Indeed, can God tell time?    Don Preston has written a booklet called "Can God Tell Time."  To order this booklet and to read Preston's on-line articles I would encourage you to visit his website: www.eschatology.org
Watch for more musings - SOON.

" . . . IN JUST A VERY LITTLE WHILE" The Peasearian  Musing " . . . will come and will not delay."   You may not have noticed, but I have not posted any  PEASEARIAN MUSINGS for two days.  This posting is just to alert you that I will explain this "SOON."

Preterism is a view of Biblical prophecies fulfilled.  As a preterist I have no hope of Christ returning to rapture me out of the problems faced in life - preterism gives me an appreciation of life, even if life is a trial.  Preterists don't want to see Christ return in the future to destroy the earth and all the evil inhabitants with fire.  We don't want anybody to perish, but to have life more abundantly in Christ.  We don't want Christ to come again to reign as King - we already know He is reigning as the King of His Kingdom - The Church.  We don't want Christ to come back to raise our mortal bodies - He has already resurrected us from our body of sin when we were baptized into Christ and received the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit as we are "Born Again."
Deborah Jeane Palfrey was convicted two weeks ago of being the "D.C. Madam" and was facing five or six years in prison.  Yesterday this precious life ended as she committed suicide.
Deborah did nothing deserving of death.  Deborah was only 52 years old.  Deborah could have had a long productive life after leaving prison - she could have even had a productive life in prison.  Would you cast the first stone at her if she were still alive?  Could any of her "clients" have thrown the second stone?  Life is good and precious - even for the woman caught in adultery and about to be stoned before Christ saved her.
Several inmates have recently committed suicide in the Gallatin County Jail.  They could have had long productive lives - if they valued life.
I had a friend that once said she did not want to bring a child into this evil world.  She now has a baby and loves the life of that baby.  Others have told me that they wish Christ would come back right now to destroy this wicked world and take them out of it.  I asked what about your unborn grand children, great grand children, great great grandchildren - don't you want them to be born and live in eternity with Christ?
Christ is not coming in the future to destroy.  Christ is the creator.  Christ is the King.  Christ is not coming - He already came to save us and all creation.  If all you have is Hope for a future salvation and resurrection you have missed the gift of life in Christ.  Life is good - in Christ - not in the future - NOW!

Life is Good!  Life is Interesting.  Life is God Given.

Today I woke up - yup, I'm still alive.  It is a new day the Lord has made.  It is dark.  I am sure the sun will rise today.
The sun did rise and the sky is blue, the frosty green grass can be seen today.  Yesterday the green grass was covered by 4" of snow.  Two days ago the temperature reached 77 F.  Yesterday it was 26 F.  This morning it is 30F.  No global warming here.  I just read that the oceans are warming and global warming may be delayed for 10 years.  A few days ago I read that we are in a cooling period due to no sun spots - yet, Gore not only thinks he invented the internet, but  also thinks global warming caused by man is a settled fact.  Montana is a great place to live - seasons aren't predictable.
Life is not boring - it is exciting.  Every morning I listen to the news - it is interestingly different every day.  What will be on Fox and Friends this morning?  Who will be on C-Span Journal?  What will Laura Ingram talk about on her radio program today?  What will be revealed tonight on O'Reilly's interview with Hillary?  What will excite Michael Savage as he addresses his Savage Nation citizens?  What treason is Carter up to today?  Where will Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Jr.'s Cuckoo birds roost today?
The stock market is up.  Gold and silver is down.  Gas and oil is down.  The dollar is up.  The Euro is down.  At another time stocks will be down, gold & silver up, dollar down, euro down, and gas and oil will be up - perhaps even later today.  All we know is that things will change - but whether is appears good or bad, still LIFE IS GOOD!
I'm actually a pessimist by nature, but know that because God is Good and He created everything and declared it as "Good"  - I need to learn to relax, take a deep breath and smile.
Remember, God loves you and so do I.  So, don't worry - be happy.
